What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and devising tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either collaboratively with physicians or independently, based on your credentials
• Providing education to patients and families about wellness, prevention, and effective disease management
• Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies in line with your scope of practice

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Certifications

• A valid Nurse Practitioner license in Massachusetts
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a similar specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or availability to achieve these within 90 days)
