In this role, you'll play an integral part in the month-end close process, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and partner across the organization to support operational and strategic initiatives. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is naturally curious, solution-oriented, and motivated to improve processes while contributing to the continued growth of the business.Team culture:- Positive- Proactive- Accountable- Team oriented- Continuous learner- Great communicator- Build strong working relationships- Contribute to a productive team cultureWhat you will do:Prepare and review monthly journal entries, including inventory, COGS, prepaids, fixed assets, and other general ledger activity.Perform and maintain monthly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.Own fixed asset accounting, including additions, depreciation, disposals, and construction-in-progress.Support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash application, and corporate credit card reconciliations while serving as a cross-functional resource and backup for the accounting team.Execute key month-end close activities, ensuring financial information is complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.Serve as a key user of the Company's ERP and financial systems, supporting system enhancements, process improvements, and data integrity initiatives.Partner with internal and external auditors by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to audit requests.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase operational efficiency.Provide guidance and cross-training to accounting team members while serving as a subject matter resource for accounting processes and month-end close activities.Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues, support business initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.Support special projects and perform additional accounting responsibilities as assigned.What you'll need to have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting.5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong foundation in accrual accounting and the month-end close process, preferably within a mid-sized manufacturing organization.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience maintaining accurate financial records and supporting timely financial reporting.Experience with manufacturing accounting, including inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), fixed assets, and account reconciliations.Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and exercise sound professional judgment in a fast-paced environment.Proven experience identifying process improvements and implementing practical solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.Preferred qualifications:Active pursuit of CPA licensure or a strong commitment to a career in accounting.Experience in medical device, biotechnology, or other FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.Startup or high-growth company experience.Experience supporting external audits, ERP implementations, or accounting process improvement initiatives.Interview process:Our interview processes may differ slightly from role-to-role; however, most of our interviews will follow a similar pattern:- Recruiter interview- Hiring manager interview- On-site interview- DecisionWe are an early-stage company and may change our interview process from time-to-time, but our hope is everyone who interviews with us has a positive experience, even if an offer isn't presented.Benefits:Excellent medical/dental benefits- 95% medical benefit premiums paid by Fluxergy and covers employee, partner, and dependents- 100% dental and vision premiums paid for employee, partner, and dependents- 100% life insurance premiums paid for the employeeWork-life balance minded time off- 15 paid vacation days- 2-week paid winter break- 7 company paid holidays- 5 paid sick daysA work culture which believes in promoting from within- Wear lots of hats / accelerate your career growth!- We are a flat organization by design – lots of visibility!- Many of our current leaders started their career with Fluxergy!Salary range: $100,000 - $105,000/yrAdditional information:Fluxergy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to building an inclusive workplace.
