Positions can be located at CCIU buildings countywide or with a partnering district. CCIU serves 12 school districts serving nearly 86,000 students and over 6,000 educators. Program Areas Autistic Support Learning Support Multiple Disabilities Support Emotional Support Life Skills Support Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor's level degree in education required . Experience teaching in special education K-12 classrooms preferred . Duties & Responsibilities Instruct individuals and groups in special education skill areas. Provide specially designed instruction for eligible special education students. Plan curriculum and lessons. Evaluate and monitor student progress based on classroom performance, test scores, and behavior observation. Support objectives and interventions of the educational program. Maintain a safe physical environment of the classroom. Maintain contact with parents of students and professionals concerning student progress. Develop IEPs addressing specific academic, behavioral, and speech needs of students when appropriate. Prepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required. Function as an integral member of the treatment/IEP team, addressing students' needs.
