Chesapeake Search Partners is supporting a growing organization that is looking to add an experienced Controller to its accounting function. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys owning the full accounting cycle, strengthening processes, and driving accuracy and consistency across the department as the business continues to expand. Responsibilities Lead daily accounting operations, including billing, AR, AP, GL, and revenue recognition Manage month‑end and year‑end close, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and review financial data for completeness and accuracy Enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures Prepare monthly financial statements and management reporting Coordinate external audits and required documentation Handle sales and use tax filings across multiple states Support additional initiatives within the accounting function as needed Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full‑cycle accounting Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Strong understanding of general ledger management and close processes Experience with sales and use tax filings Strong systems aptitude and comfort improving processes Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Chesapeake Search Partners
