The Independent Appliance Technician (1099) is a self-employed contractor responsible for providing reliable repair and maintenance services for both residential and commercial properties. Operating independently with their own tools and vehicle, this role demands strong technical expertise, efficient scheduling, and excellent customer communication to ensure quality solutions on each project.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance services for residential and commercial clients
- Prepare accurate service estimates for projects
- Manage scheduling and timelines independently for each job
- Utilize and maintain personal tools and equipment effectively
- Interact professionally with customers to assess needs and provide solutions
- Travel locally to project sites using a personal vehicle as needed
- Demonstrate strong time management and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in handyman or appliance technician services
- Valid driver’s license for local travel
- Experience with electrical repair
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Scheduling and project management skills
