Role: Integration Support Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL (Remote)

Duration: 11+ months

Must have skills:

IBM WebSphere
MQ

Years of experience required for each skill? -7-10 years

Nice-to-have skills: Production and application support

Responsibilities:

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be responsible for acting as a software detective, providing dynamic service by identifying and solving issues within multiple components of critical business systems.
You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively, take responsibility for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions.
Providing solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams is a vital part of this role. Advanced proficiency in IBM WebSphere MQ is required.
Develop a deep understanding of system architecture to anticipate and resolve complex issues efficiently.
Support and guide less experienced colleagues by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and tools to enhance service quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of business systems.
Analyze recurring problems to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
