Event Coordinator - Temporary (30 days)

 
Pay: $27hr, M-F, 8am - 5pm
Location: North Dallas, near Downtown

 
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in event coordination and planning. You will support the planning and execution of events from concept to completion while ensuring a positive and seamless experience for clients and attendees.
This position requires flexibility, as hours may vary depending on event schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends.

 
Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and executing events of various sizes
• Coordinate with vendors, venues, and suppliers
• Help manage event budgets and track expenses
• Support event setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination
• Communicate with clients to understand event goals and expectations
• Maintain event timelines and ensure deadlines are met
• Assist with marketing and promotion of events when needed
• Provide administrative support related to event logistics
• Co-edit weekly e-newsletter using Mailchimp, photo editing, updating website using Site Core.
• Technology setup, room reservations, Zoon/Teams meeting scheduling for the Assistant Dean

 
Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Previous internship, volunteer, or event experience is a plus but not required
