Operates tool room equipment at a high level of competency which may include, but is also not limited to:CNC mill, CNC Electrical Discharge Machines (EDMs), manual and/or wire EDMs, surface grinders, manualmills, manual lathes, drill presses, and array of hand tools.Troubleshoots and repairs a variety of stages of tooling.Plans, constructs, and repairs a variety of tool, dies, jigs, gauges and fixtures to close tolerances.Demonstrates high-level expertise and experience with equipment.Stays abreast of new and developing technology required for position in order to account for any possiblechanges.Participates in problem solving and provides input for process/product evaluations for continuous improvement. Makes recommendations to existing work instructions to improve quality, clarity, and/or efficiency.Reports equipment issues to appropriate resources for resolution.Orders supplies and materials.May verify attendance within the timekeeping system in Supervisor’s absence.Perform other duties as assigned.Provide Leadership Coordinates the activities of other Toolmakers.Reports progress and metrics to management.Leads projects and mentor other technicians.Grow on the job and help others succeed Expands skill base through on-the-job training, cross training, and classroom instruction.Trains personnel in proper techniques to utilize systems, equipment, and processes.Provides support/guidance, data, and analysis to other departments.Supports performance reviews and talent calibration processes.Ensure Alignment on the Corporate Strategic InitiativesContinually seeks to drive improvements in product and process quality and identifies and escalates quality non-conformances to assist in achieving company quality objectives and key business metrics.Adheres to Integer Core Beliefs, Safety and Quality requirements and applicable regulations described in the quality management system (QMS). Education & Experience:Minimum Education: High School graduate or equivalent education may be required, associate degree or bachelor’s degree in area of technical expertise preferred.Minimum Experience: 8-10 years of related experience. Journeymen certification/paperwork also may be required.Knowledge and skills:Special Skills: Strong leadership and mechanical aptitude with the ability to apply it in operating tool room equipment. Demonstrated competency at the master level as defined by the National Institute of Metalworking Skills(NIMS). Basic TIG or Tool room welding are a plus.Specialized Knowledge:Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints. Pay Range: $35.30 - $51.77 Our total rewards program is designed to attract, retain, and motivate associates to contribute to Integer’s success. Our compensation program includes base wages, a cash-based incentive program supporting our pay-for-performance philosophy, overtime pay, shift differentials, and call-in pay, when applicable.
