The Payroll Manager, Administration, plays a key leadership role in ensuring successful payroll operations for Self-Directed Services. This position leads the Payroll Administration team, ensures exceptional customer service for participant employers and employees, and acts as a primary problem-solver and support contact. As a member of the Leadership Council, the Payroll Manager is responsible for maintaining payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency, while also working to improve systems and drive results across the team.QualificationsThe ideal candidate has extensive experience in payroll operations and team leadership, with a focus on compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Skills in resolving complex issues, effective communication under pressure, and fostering collaborative team environments are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required; experience with Intact and Paycom payroll systems is a plus. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field is strongly preferred. Candidates should have at least 5 years of progressive finance and payroll experience, including 3 years managing payroll for over 1,000 employees per pay period. This is a fully remote position, but travel to our Linthicum, Maryland headquarters or other Maryland sites for meetings may be necessary.
