Senior Financial Analyst

Title Senior Financial Analyst Overview The successfully selected candidate for this Sr Financial Analyst position will be a full‑time employee of the KBR team supporting our DOD Test Resource Management Center’s (TRMC) contract. Primary Duties, Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Work closely with the program manager to ensure the program and the program’s project funding is properly maintained. Support the budget formulation for Program Objective Memorandum (POM) inputs. Develop spend plans in support of POM initiatives in accordance with guidance from the Program Manager. Serve as the liaison between the Program Manager and the government CFO team. Track MIPR level execution by project, integrating Service/Agency MIPR reporting data (distribution, obligation, accrual, disbursement, PM expenditure) with FM tracking and DFAS reporting data. Execute other duties as assigned. Be willing to travel to Northern Virginia and other areas as required. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and eight (8) years’ work‑related experience in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Active DoD Secret clearance. Demonstrated experience in developing, managing and monitoring budgets. Proven ability to create, track and adjust budgets and spend plans, ensuring alignment with budget authority, funds availability and project timelines. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends or discrepancies, and develop practical solutions to improve financial reporting. Ability to prepare and analyze variance analyses and make data‑driven recommendations to leadership. Experience working within the NCR region with DoD and/or Service organizations and individuals. Requires expertise with specialized experience in DoD financial processes. Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively across a multi‑Service environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills to present financial information clearly to both technical and non‑technical staff. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills. Must be within 100 miles of Northern Virginia. Desired Qualifications Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Thorough understanding of the FAR and contract management. Thorough understanding of customer interactions and standing operation procedures. Thorough understanding of project management. Strong quantitative skills. Adeptness in the use of logic to solve problems, communicate with customers, and build relationships with external agencies. Proficient with the DAI financial system.
