Overview Primary Function: Producers are the central engine and project "closers" responsible for shepherding the entire content lifecycle of the project, with a focus on finding and booking elite talent in coordination with a global policy-driven narrative. This position bridges Arabic-rooted research into a unified English product, guiding voice, narrative and delivery to produce polished work of authority across platforms. Job Announcement Producer (contract) Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following tasks are considered essential functions of this position. Finds and book relevant and elite talent. Prepares format/rundown for newscast, summaries, updates or assigned special event coverage. Produce and publish timely digital content across web, social and other MBN platforms in a fast-paced newsroom environment. Coordinate daily story production, website updates, and breaking news and other coverage to ensure accurate and engaging content. Write, edit, and optimize headlines, captions, and metadata for audience engagement and SEO performance. Collaborate with reporters, editors, and other teams to package stories with visuals, video, graphics, and interactive elements. Monitor news developments and audience metrics to identify timely coverage opportunities. Ensure all published content meets editorial standards for accuracy, style, tone, and legal compliance. Other Duties Perform additional job-related duties and take on new responsibilities as needed based on organizational requirements and circumstances. Qualifications and Requirements Candidates are required to have: Bachelor’s degree in journalism or broadcast journalism preferred. 2-3 years of experience in producing digital content. Excellent English and Arabic writing skills. Working knowledge of and ability to use video editing system. Ability to thrive in an environment requiring teamwork. Solid news judgment. Ability to work under intense deadline pressure. Exercise self-discipline and time-management skills. Sound editorial and creative judgment is essential.
