Preconstruction Project Manager

Responsibilities Development Team: Attend project kick‑off meetings, receive new projects for the Pre‑Construction Team, record and report on project tracking tools, review project information to understand needs, risks, and timelines, communicate maturity and risk mitigation, discuss permitting issues, coordinate with Estimators and Development Team to set deliverables, facilitate RFP responses, provide feedback for M&A due diligence and red‑flag memos, develop familiarity with utility interconnection process and provide schedule feedback. Development Engineering Team: Review and critique design information for buildability and operational issues, participate in interconnection status review, maintain visibility on design and estimation, review risk register. Procurement: Understand equipment technologies, maintain familiarity with AES approved vendor list, monitor commodity price and availability fluctuations and coordinate with Estimating Team. Construction Team: Provide regular status feedback to Execution PMs, coordinate, prepare, and deploy EPC RFP bid packages, facilitate RFI feedback, analyze EPC bid responses and recommend selections, understand EPC contract terms and negotiate contracts, coordinate CAPEX cost reviews and reconciliations, provide bid‑summary packages to Construction PM. Preconstruction Team: Coordinate EPC engagement plan with Execution Strategy, prioritize projects with senior PMs and Pre‑Construction leadership, support construction cost estimate messaging and updates, manage EPC target‑price process, produce preliminary schedules, understand scheduling sequencing, identify and communicate schedule risks, manage domestic content and PWA needs. External EPC Teams: Build relationships with key EPC contractors, manage RFPs and bid responses, support EPC contract negotiations. Qualifications 4+ years of professional experience in a renewable project management role. Excellent understanding of the project cycle from feasibility through permitting, entitlements, design, utility processes, and EPC negotiations. Strong familiarity with photovoltaic solar and energy storage components and associated technical standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Primavera P6, ProCore, Quickbase, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and BlueBeam. Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear project plans and reporting that ensure timely action and decision‑making in time‑pressured scenarios. Benefits and Compensation Salary range: $118,500 – $148,325 per year, subject to market, location, and experience. Annual bonus potential. Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
