Focuses on Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management, Women's Health, and Pediatrics. Provides region's premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services. Unit Profile: 36-bed Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit. Trauma Level: 2. Facility Department: Medical Surgical Telemetry. Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for stepdown population. Equipped with telemetry monitoring. Uses electronic health record system. Supervision provided by designated personnel. Cares for cardiac patients with trauma and stepdown level of care. Common diagnoses include chest pain, stroke/TIA, pre-and post-open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular issues, and congestive heart failure. Teamwork is essential in this role. Required education: Associate degree. Dress code: Scrub color should be blue or navy. Unacceptable attire includes blue jeans.
