Data Management Analyst

As a Data Management Analyst, you will seek, develop, and help implement Enterprise Data Management Solutions that improve efficiency and productivity for our clients. As a Data Management Analyst, you will work independently and collaboratively with internal and client teams to ensure project success. As a Data Management Analyst, you will work on a variety of tasks ranging from requirements gathering/analysis, data profiling, data analysis, planning, testing, preparing functional and technical documentation, and deployment tasks. In addition to your client facing engagements, you will also contribute to a wide variety of internal projects on topics such as Generative AI or developing capability content.

This position will have the opportunity to engage with clients, across industries and collaborate with all aspects of a Data Management organization including Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Quality Assurance and Business Intelligence. You will also be working closely with Cloud Architects, Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Define and scope client challenges or opportunities and prioritize based on urgency, impact, feasibility, and alignment with the client strategy and vision.
• Gather business and functional requirements that describe the needs and expectations of the stakeholders, end users and technical teams and ensure that they are clear, complete, consistent, testable, and traceable.
• Document and maintain requirements throughout the project and track and control the changes and their impact on the solution, the stakeholders, users, and technical teams.
• Create roadmaps, including the conduct and incorporation of prioritization, dependency / successor analysis, and resourcing.
• Work closely with Data Engineers and Quality Assurance to ensure requirements are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans and scripts serve project and client needs.
• Analyze and interpret data using various techniques and be able to identify the patterns, trends, and relationships in the data, and draw conclusions and insights from the data.
• Visualize data using various tools such as charts, graphs, and dashboards and communicate data findings and recommendations to all levels in an organization using various methods such as reports, stories, and presentations.
• Develop data dictionaries, source to target data mappings, and business glossary by working with the Data SME and Business stakeholders.
• Identify instances where existing data management processes may be streamlined or improved.
• Perform gap analysis of policies, processes, and capabilities against frameworks or desired target states.
• Support the definition of business rules to assist with data acquisition, data integration and data quality monitoring.
• Initiate analysis to identify data inconsistencies and resolve to raise the level of data integrity.
• Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project while adapting the communication style, format, and frequency to clients' needs and preferences.
• Communicate consistently with other team members, leadership and clients outlining status, risks, issues, and key decisions.
• Assist technical leads, developers, and testers with addressing business and data related questions and concerns.
• Proficiency in project planning and monitoring to help ensure the project is on time, on budget, and quality while adhering to best practices and delivery standards.
• Work with the project manager to plan and prioritizes deliverables.

Qualifications

• Data Management concepts and functions knowledge
• Expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Experience with reporting packages, databases, programming
• Advanced process modeling
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy (preferred)
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets (preferred)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to consult with functional leaders to understand business objectives to design optimized data solutions.
• Must be able to facilitate and guide discovery and design sessions with business SME's and technical leads.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet aggressive deadlines.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage dependencies.
• Ability to lead group facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively in a team environment.
• Strong internal communication skills including ability to work with all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge and understanding of Gen AI.
• Is effective in a variety of formal project and external presentation/meeting settings: one-on-ones, small and large groups, with peers, direct reports, and superiors.
• Knowledge and understanding of Business Intelligence (Tableau, Power BI) reporting.
• Excels in a fast paced, agile environment where critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are required for success
• Experience working with multi-shore project teams.
• Experience working with multiple levels of client personnel to gather information, validate analysis, and make recommendations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree or Equivalent
