Registered Nurse Oncology

Role The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans. Responsibilities Utilize nursing processes, technology, and evidence-based practices; coordinate with healthcare team; oversee care delivery by LPNs and CNAs; develop individualized plans; participate in clinical team conferences; ensure compliance with policies and guidelines; and communicate compassionately with patients and families. Qualifications Current RN license, BLS/ACLS certification, and graduation from an accredited Nursing program required. RNs with ASN/ADN must obtain a BSN within four years unless exempted based on experience or employment date. Skills & Duties Assess physical and psychological patient needs, document care, operate monitors and equipment, lift and transfer patients, assist with mobility, and communicate effectively in fast-paced, often emergency, situations. Additional requirements include manual dexterity, physical stamina, and the ability to navigate busy clinical environments.
