If you're ready to bring your unique personality and creativity to a team that values genuine guest connections, we'd love to welcome you aboard.What will you be doing?Assist the Director of Engineering with leading the department and hotel goals.Always being professional and ensuring building compliance, safety and beauty.Maintaining all equipment, systems and building components including, but not limited to; mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile and other equipment.Build, repairs, and paints all parts of the hotel.Install and replaces lighting fixtures and bulbs.Clean carpets and rugs.Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.Fabricate and repairs furniture and fixtures.Attend all scheduled training classes and meetings.Paint corridors, hotel rooms, and lobby areas when necessary.Transport heavy boxes and packages within the hotel for maintenance and repairs.Assist in delivering and setup of all new equipment such as televisions, mattresses, tables, chairs, etc.Communicate with Director of Engineering on projects as assigned.Respond to all customer requests in a timely and personable manner.Duties as assigned by Directors, General Manager.What do you bring to the role?Previous experience as a hotel engineer is preferred or comparable maintenance experience at an establishment such as apartment complex or office buildingAbility to be yourself, lead yourself, make it count!Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.What's in it for you?Room discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts and IHG-branded propertiesDiscounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts restaurants, cafes, lounges, golfing, skiing, and spa"Two for one" movie theater coupons at Marcus TheatresAbility to grow your career and transfer from one property to anotherPaid time offFlexible schedulingAnd more!About Us: A division of The Marcus Corporation, Marcus Hotels & Resorts has a rich 60-year history of operational and service excellence.
