Men's Lacrosse - Director of Operations/Assistant Coach Full Time/Part Time: Part Time Division: Athletics Department: Men's Lacrosse Wage/Salary Range: $20 - $25 per hour Department Statement Colgate University offers a unique environment for professional growth within a highly selective residential liberal arts institution. Accountabilities Director of Operations/Assistant Coach is responsible for executing strategic activities within Men’s Lacrosse, including: Adhering to the Head Coach’s philosophy Athletic instruction and coaching Program operations and administration as designated by the head coach This position also manages all non‑coaching aspects of the sport program, such as: Managing all aspects of team and staff recruiting travel and related logistics Reconciling team and staff travel expenses following university policies Procurement and purchasing for the program, negotiating with vendors Budget oversight for travel, equipment, and casual wage personnel Coordinating official and unofficial campus visits for prospective student‑athletes Developing and coordinating program correspondence with donors, alumni, parents, and prospects Collaborating with communications and creative services on social media strategy Maintaining confidential records including financial aid, NLI forms, budget reports, compliance forms, and student‑athlete schedules Additional Coaching Responsibilities When required, the role may also serve as the men’s lacrosse program’s third assistant coach, including: Game tape exchange and film preparation Oversight of student‑athlete development, including academics and community service Scouting and competition preparation using appropriate video‑editing software Maintaining NCAA and institutional recruiting certification Attendance at required departmental and compliance educational meetings Other duties assigned by coaching and sports administration staff Professional Experience/Qualifications Previous collegiate lacrosse playing or coaching experience, and/or director of operations experience in a collegiate sport Preferred Qualifications Experience (playing or working) at an NCAA Division I institution Other Information A current valid driver’s license is required. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
