Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking experienced RN professionals to join our PACU team on a seasonal travel basis. These roles involve providing critical post-anesthesia care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient recovery and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from various surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses using GE monitors and EMR systems.
• Administer medications and interventions per protocol, including BLS, ACLS, and PALS standards.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe and efficient patient transitions through recovery.
• Document patient care activities accurately in Meditech EMR.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, unit guidelines, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse license with minimum 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient monitoring and post-operative procedures.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; NIHSS preferred.
• Possess excellent communication skills and a flexible, outgoing personality.
• Experience with GE monitors and Meditech EMR is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
