We are seeking an experienced Aerospace CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce precision-machined aerospace components.

The ideal candidate has strong CNC machining experience, understands tight-tolerance manufacturing, and is comfortable working in an AS9100 quality environment. You will work closely with Production and Quality to support on-time delivery, product quality, workplace safety, continuous improvement, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers and turning centers.
• Produce precision-machined aerospace components according to blueprints, specifications, and CNC programs.
• Select, install, and set up the proper cutting tools as specified in CNC programs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Read and manually edit G-code programs as required.
• Perform advanced shop math necessary for machining operations.
• Machine and inspect parts to tolerances as tight as ±0.0005 inch.
• Use precision inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Monitor machining operations and make appropriate adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Work closely with Production and Quality personnel to meet production schedules and quality requirements.
• Follow established safety procedures and AS9100/QMS requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, productivity, safety, and manufacturing processes.
• Accurately complete required production and quality documentation.

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
• Demonstrated ability to set up and operate CNC machining centers and turning centers.
• Ability to select and properly set up cutting tools based on CNC program requirements.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills.
• Ability to perform advanced shop math.
• Proven ability to machine parts to ±0.0005-inch tolerances.
• Ability to read and manually edit G-code programs.
• Proficiency using precision inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Aerospace manufacturing and AS9100 experience are highly desirable.
