Deal Desk Specialist

Job Summary Under the direction of the Branch Support Manager, the Deal Desk Specialist will assist Origination and Operations Staff with answers to loan scenarios, program guidelines, underwriting and investor interpretation. Job Summary Under the direction of the Branch Support Manager, the Deal Desk Specialist will assist Origination and Operations Staff with answers to loan scenarios, program guidelines, underwriting and investor interpretation. This role will provide a variety of support including complex income calculations.

II. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Works as a liaison between Underwriting, Closing and Loan Originators. Answers underwriting scenario questions from Originators for Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo and Non\-QM loans within a four\-hour response time. Provides guidance on restructuring loans. Responsible for fielding and researching guideline interpretation calls. Monitors investor guideline updates and works closely with the appropriate departments to keep internal guidelines up to date. Responsible for transferring FHA case assignments Meets customer service standards as outlined by management. Maintains a professional image and adhere to standards consistent with company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Iii. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the mortgage industry Must be able to work through complicated loan scenarios. Thorough knowledge of investor guidelines for all loan programs. Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment. Display excellent time management, organizational and problem\-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with Loan Originators, branches, and corporate personnel. Demonstrated judgment and decision\-making ability. Must have working knowledge of or the ability to learn all operating systems Must be able to work all regularly scheduled hours; arriving at scheduled reporting time and at the prescribed time after any breaks or lunch periods.
