Sterile Processing Technician

Sterile Processing Tech PRNUSPI Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. We have 6 OR rooms and 2 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Spine, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.Job Summary: The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.Qualifications:Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution TechnicianHigh School Diploma or Equivalent2-3 years' experience as Instrument Room Technician.Experience with all types of sterilizers.Knows operating room instrumentation.Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.Understands Sterrad sterilizers.Ability to prepare reports and keep records.Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
