General Production WorkerThis role involves working in a food production environment where you support daily operations by palletizing and shrink wrapping products, moving materials, and maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace. You will handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving product, operating a manual pallet jack, and recording product weights to ensure accurate inventory and quality control.ResponsibilitiesPalletize finished products and securely shrink wrap them for storage and shipment.Clean and sanitize workstations regularly to maintain a safe and hygienic food production environment.Move product and materials using a manual pallet jack throughout the production area and to the warehouse.Weigh products on a small digital scale and accurately read and record digital weights.Move filled bags that can weigh up to 50 pounds, following company policy that requires two employees to lift anything over 50 pounds.Push and pull large bowls on wheels weighing up to 1,000 pounds and ensure you move at least eight bowls per shift.Essential SkillsExperience working in a general labor, construction, manufacturing, or similar general labor environment within the last 5 years.At least 1 year of continuous employment with the same company within the last 5 years.Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours per shift in a physically demanding production environment.Capability to lift and move bags weighing up to 50 pounds safely and consistently.Ability to push and pull heavy equipment, including bowls on wheels weighing up to 1,000 pounds.This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albert Lea, MN.The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
