Social Worker (LCSW) - Co-Responder Social Service Unit

Role Overview This position involves providing mental health support as part of a co‑responder model, working collaboratively with law enforcement to respond to crisis calls. The role focuses on crisis intervention, de‑escalation, and connecting individuals and families to ongoing mental health services. The professional will also provide follow‑up case management, clinical oversight, and culturally sensitive counseling. Responsibilities Assess presenting issues using motivational interviewing and crisis intervention techniques. Make clinically sound decisions to ensure safety and appropriate resolution of crises. Collaborate with emergency personnel and community resources. Maintain accurate documentation, monitor treatment progress, and adjust care plans. Provide clinical oversight and culturally sensitive counseling to diverse clients. Qualifications&Skills Master's Degree in Social Work (Required) and licensure as an LCSW in Illinois. Proof of auto insurance and driver's license. Preferred one year of related experience. Ability to work with all age groups, perform de‑escalation, and utilize usual equipment.
