Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Motion Restore Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate individual patient needs and establishing tailored care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Implementing and supervising therapy sessions that focus on physical rehabilitation to promote mobility, strength, and overall functional independence.
• Utilizing various therapeutic modalities and techniques, you will address conditions ranging from orthopedic injuries to neurological disorders.
• Providing education and training to patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, proper use of assistive devices, and strategies for ongoing care beyond therapy sessions.
• Monitoring patient progress through regular evaluations, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and communicating updates with the healthcare team.
• Prioritizing your caseload effectively and coordinating with team members for seamless hand-offs and comprehensive patient management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse range of patients, including older adults recovering from surgeries or dealing with chronic conditions, as well as younger patients who may have sustained injuries or need rehabilitation following orthopedic procedures. You will adapt your approach to address the unique needs of each individual, ensuring a compassionate and effective therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy License in New Jersey.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• A commitment to providing patient-centered care and a willingness to learn and grow within the profession.

Preferred Experience

• While no prior experience is required, candidates with experience in home healthcare, geriatrics, or chronic illness management will be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with using electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
