LEAD BARISTA Rosewood Mini Market | Columbia, SC | Full-Time $15.00 / hour to start + tips Rosewood Mini Market is looking for a Lead Barista who walks in on day one ready to own the bar, set the standard, and help build something great. If you're the kind of person who already knows what excellence looks like behind a counter and has the leadership instincts to bring others along with you, this role is for you. WHAT YOU'LL DO: On the Bar Prepare and serve a full range of hot and cold coffee and espresso beverages to a consistently high standard Operate and maintain all coffee equipment; espresso machines, grinders, brewers with expertise and care Ensure every drink that leaves the bar meets Rosewood's quality standard, every single time Stay knowledgeable about the full menu and make confident, thoughtful recommendations to customers As a Leader Train, mentor, and support junior baristas - setting a high bar and helping others rise to meet it Lead opening and closing responsibilities, ensuring the bar is set up for success at the start of every shift and properly closed at the end Manage inventory, monitor supply levels, and assist with ordering to keep the program running smoothly Step up in the absence of management and keep operations on track Model the attitude, work ethic, and customer care you expect from the team around you Every Shift Greet every customer warmly and create a welcoming, memorable experience at the counter Take orders accurately and process payments through the POS system Keep the bar, counter, and surrounding area clean, organized, and inviting at all times Communicate through company-designated platforms including Homebase and email Treat every customer and co-worker with courtesy, patience, and respect WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: 2+ years of barista experience - you're past the learning curve and ready to lead Prior lead, shift supervisor, or training experience strongly preferred Deep knowledge of espresso, brewing techniques, and coffee equipment A natural leader - calm under pressure, clear in communication, and consistent in standards Detail-oriented and quality-driven - you notice when something is off and you fix it Comfortable with opening and closing responsibilities and working independently Experience with inventory management and ordering a plus Dependable, punctual, and available including weekends A genuine passion for coffee, hospitality, and doing things the right way WHAT YOU GET: $15.00 per hour to start Tips on top of your hourly wage Paid Time Off Company Vision and Dental Plans 25% – 50% employee discount across Rosewood Market + Deli No overnight shifts A tight-knit team where your leadership and craft are genuinely valued ABOUT ROSEWOOD MINI MARKET Rosewood Mini Market is part of the Rosewood Market + Deli family - a locally owned, independent neighborhood market that has been a cornerstone of the Columbia community since 1972.
