Travel RN - Cath Lab/EP

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN with a valid CA RN license, Epic experience, and at least one year of specialty acute care experience for a 13-week contract assignment.

Job Details

• Work in the Cath Lab department of a hospital environment,
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations for adult patients,
• Includes left and right heart catheterizations,
• Utilizes Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring,
• Administers and monitors procedural sedation,
• Requires interpretation and management of dysrhythmias,
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, Monday-Friday with one day off during the week,
• Current shift hours are 0730-1800, subject to change with notice given the day before,
• May occasionally require arrival at 0630,
• 13-week contract length,
• No blocked or self-scheduling available,

Job Requirements

• Active, valid CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted),
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required in-hand at time of application,
• BSN required,
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required,
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience required,
• At least one year of full-time equivalent experience in Cath Lab specialty within the past two years,
• Epic charting system experience required, and must be reflected in work history,
• Previous travel nursing experience required,
• Two supervisor references required at time of application, including at least one from a supervisor/director/manager within the last year from the applicable unit,
• Must pass EKG exam (up to 3 attempts allowed),

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures,
• Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation and manage cardiac dysrhythmias,
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate,
• No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment,
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred,
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and cannot be changed once under manager review,
• Candidates previously employed by the facility must be gone a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler,
• Manager may or may not conduct an interview prior to placement,
• First-time travelers may be considered
