Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Home Infusion Pharmacist positioned in Levittown, PA. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a contract duration of 8+ weeks. The pharmacy operates with low volume and has a single pharmacy technician supporting the workflow.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare customized sterile medications, including IV fluids, adhering to stringent aseptic techniques and controlled environment protocols.
- Verify the accuracy and safety of sterile preparations to ensure patient well-being.
- Enforce compliance with USP and USP standards governing sterile compounding practices.
- Oversee pharmacy technician activities and maintain cleanroom equipment.
- Perform final inspections of sterile medication preparations prior to dispensing.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and clear Pennsylvania pharmacist license.
- One or more years of recent sterile compounding experience.
- Proficiency with computer systems and pharmacy software applications.
- Strong attention to detail and thorough knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile preparation standards.
This position requires vigilance in maintaining patient safety through precise compounding and adherence to regulatory standards. The home infusion setting offers a focused environment where your sterile compounding skills will be essential.
