The housekeeping Manager supervises and controls the efficient operation of all areas of housekeeping, including guest rooms, public areas, storage rooms and working areas. They also oversee all housekeeping and laundry colleagues and assigns daily work duties. Ensures that Miraval's standards of cleanliness and service are consistently maintained. Assist Assistant Director of Rooms in controlling costs and keeping expenses in line with budgeted goals. Assist Assistant Director of Rooms in maintaining par stock levels for supplies, conducting regular inventories and ordering supplies as needed. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + Help plan the workday for the Housekeeping department and distribute assignments accordingly. + Schedule employees, keeping within budget guidelines. + Utilize all resources available to meet the department's goals. + Process weekly payroll for the department. + Help train employees on an ongoing basis. + Tour property daily and note any extra/special cleaning or maintenance required. + Conduct room inspections daily. + Check quality and quantity of work of room attendants and supervisors. + Ensure work orders are being consistently done as needed and followed up on. + Maintain professional and constant communication with Front Desk and Engineering. + Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order. + Assist and keep accuracy of Lost and Found department. + Ensure all rooms, public areas, departmental storages and working areas are cleaned according to department's standards. + Assist in training and development of programs for housekeeping staff. + Ensure the Housekeeping and Laundry departments comply with OSHA regulations. + Assist in maintaining par stock levels and in keeping expenses within budget guidelines. + Ensure guest's requests related to Housekeeping are met in a timely manner. + Conduct employee evaluations. + Maintain a neat and orderly work area. + Follow all safety procedures for the department and for Miraval. + Assist and perform any other duties management may request to aid in the operation of the Resort + Keep track of par level and have necessary inventory for business needs. **We offer excellent benefits:** + Complimentary room nights* + Unlimited discounted and Friends & Family Room Rates + Medical, Prescription, Dental and Vision Insurance on 30 th day of employment* + 401K with company match* + Generous Paid Time Off policy* + Paid sick time + Paid Family Bonding Time and Adoption Assistance* + Tuition & Wellbeing Reimbursement* + Free colleague meals during shift + Employee Stock Purchase Plan* + Access to resort facilities including spa services, programs, hiking trails and gym * _Exact benefit package is contingent on status_ **Qualifications:** **Required Qualifications:** The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. + Previous hospitality experience and hotel housekeeping experience preferred. + Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time. + Ability to accommodate to a changing schedule including AMs, PMs, holidays and weekends. + Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. + Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. + Strong organizational skills to track data and follow through on tasks in a timely manner. + Ability to work with and supervise a large multicultural staff. + Must be able to multitask. + Good written and verbal communications skills. + Demonstrate enthusiasm for challenges. + Adapt well to changes. + Ability to motivate a large staff. + Ability to work well as a team with other management members. + Intermediate computer skills in the resort's property management system, excel and word. + Strong interpersonal relations.
