As a Armed Security Officer - Financial Center in New York, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $42.24 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Maintain a professional armed presence and conduct regular and random patrols of the banking location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe for suspicious behavior, and respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Document patrol activity and security-related incidents through clear, accurate reports, and communicate concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated client personnel.
• Follow all licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies related to carrying and handling an assigned firearm.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
