Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans within a skilled nursing facility setting
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and quality of life
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Required Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure in the state of Virginia or eligibility to obtain
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current NBCOT certification
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel or contract therapy experience
- Familiarity with MDS documentation and PDPM reimbursement models
