Starting Pay: $16/hour + tips

About Omar’s Bistro:

We opened Omar’s Bistro in 2022 and have been partnering with LABBBs in the New England area to support children with disabilities through our dynamic and interactive work site. Our vision is to create a world that is more accepting and inclusive for all. Our Food Runners/Cashiers help keep the heart of the space beating — ensuring guests enjoy great food, smooth service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Position Overview:

The Food Runner/Cashier supports Omar’s Bistro by delivering food promptly, assisting guests at the counter, and keeping service areas organized. This role is fast‑paced, guest‑focused, and essential to maintaining the warm, community‑driven experience Omar’s is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in the café, retail floor, and event spaces
• Accurately ring up orders, handle payments, and provide friendly counter service
• Ensure all orders are complete, accurate, and well‑presented before leaving the kitchen
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line, pickup window, and dining areas
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting seating areas, and supporting high‑traffic event nights
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, and event coordinators
• Support special events, tournaments, and community gatherings by helping manage food flow
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen‑handling procedures
• Assist with light prep, packaging, or restocking during busy periods

Qualifications:

• Strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask
• Friendly, positive, and community‑oriented attitude
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and carry multiple items
• Prior food service experience is helpful but not required
• Reliability and punctuality are essential

Schedule & Availability:

• Full‑time and part‑time roles available
• Morning and evening shifts
• Start date: First week of September 2026
