As a Dispatch Security Professional supporting a government transportation location, you will coordinate communications, monitor activity, document incidents, and provide timely information to field personnel and stakeholders. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $28.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri06:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Receive, prioritize, document, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, incidents, and requests for assistance to assigned personnel and appropriate public agencies. Monitor communications systems, cameras, alarms, and other available dispatch tools to support timely awareness of security-related conditions across transit facilities and operations. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear information and coordinating communications with field personnel, supervisors, and emergency responders. Maintain accurate incident logs, dispatch records, and related reports while helping to deter unauthorized activity through timely reporting and coordination. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
