About the Role:
Cottonwood Hospice LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team in Beatrice, NE. In this meaningful role, you'll provide expert end-of-life care that brings comfort, dignity, and peace to patients and their families during life's most important moments. If you're a nurse who leads with heart and clinical excellence, we want to hear from you. Weekends: 1 in every 6 on call. On call approximately once a week. Call pay is time and a half. Flexible schedule. Mileage reimbursement. Must be ok going into patient homes and driving. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care for hospice patients
• Manage pain and symptom control to maximize patient comfort and quality of life
• Provide skilled nursing care during home visits and coordinate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Educate and support family members and caregivers on patient care techniques and what to expect
• Document patient progress, care plans, and clinical notes in compliance with hospice regulations
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition and medication management
• Provide emotional and bereavement support to patients and their loved ones

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Nebraska
• Previous hospice, palliative care, skilled nursing facility, or home health nursing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of pain management, symptom control, and end-of-life care protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and care teams
• Ability to work independently and manage a patient caseload with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits in the Beatrice, NE area
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with emotional resilience and professionalism
