Role Description The Procurement Transplant Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of organ procurement, including liaising with hospital staff, transplant centers, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant organ recovery processes. Day-to-day activities include assessing donor suitability, gathering and reviewing medical records, arranging testing and diagnostics, and supporting clinical teams during recovery procedures. The coordinator manages logistics such as scheduling recoveries, organizing transportation, and documenting all activities in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. The role also involves communicating sensitively and professionally with clinical partners, maintaining accurate records, and participating in quality improvement and compliance initiatives. Qualifications Clinical coordination and transplant operations skills, including experience in organ or tissue procurement, patient or donor assessment, and support of surgical or critical care teams. Regulatory and compliance skills, such as familiarity with CMS, HHS, and other healthcare regulations, as well as adherence to organizational protocols and quality standards. Communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary hospital teams, transplant centers, and internal colleagues under time-sensitive conditions. Organizational and logistical skills, including managing complex schedules, coordinating transportation and resources, and maintaining detailed and accurate documentation. Relevant healthcare background, such as experience as a nurse, allied health professional, or clinical coordinator in critical care, operating room, or transplant services. Ability to work on-site in Miami, FL, with flexibility for variable hours, on-call responsibilities, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure clinical environments.
