Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing material handling equipment (MHE) and facility systems within the Distribution Center. This role requires strong mechanical and technical trade skills to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Success in this role is measured by equipment uptime, quality of repairs, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues that impact operations.

Primary responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing material handling equipment, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility systems, maintaining and repairing building systems, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, supporting proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, monitoring equipment performance, maintaining accurate records of maintenance work, coordinating with vendors and contractors, supporting facility operations, and responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and operational needs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, technical certification or trade training, 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or similar technical role, electrical certification, strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and equipment repair, experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment troubleshooting, ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams, familiarity with OSHA safety standards and safe work practices, basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, experience with maintenance tracking systems (CMMS), and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work.
