Pharmacist | Hyannis, Massachusetts

A community hospital on Cape Cod is seeking a skilled night shift pharmacist to provide critical pharmacy services in a 200-bed facility located approximately 70 miles south of Boston. This position offers a contract opportunity to work a consistent night schedule, supporting hospital pharmacy operations with a focus on safe and effective medication management.


Schedule:

• Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Order verification to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication orders
• Supervision and coordination of pharmacy technicians during night shift hours
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient-specific dosing
• Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to provide consultative support
• Utilizing IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis to manage pharmacy workflows and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Massachusetts pharmacist license required
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience demonstrating sound clinical judgment
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently during overnight hours
