Position: Expo Manager Location: Fairplain Yacht Club Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience + 401K Job Summary: As the Expo Manager , you’ll play a key role in maintaining the flow of communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. You are the final checkpoint before food reaches the guest — ensuring every plate is correct, beautifully presented, and delivered with urgency and care. This is a leadership role that requires a sharp eye, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage a high-energy team during peak hours. Responsibilities: Manage and lead the expo station during all shifts Ensure all food orders are accurate, complete, and meet presentation standards Communicate effectively between kitchen and service teams to maintain pace and quality Train and supervise expo team members (if applicable) Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency at the expo window Handle guest allergy or special request communication with precision and urgency Assist with shift prep and closing responsibilities as needed Uphold restaurant policies, safety, and sanitation standards Qualifications: Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment (expo or kitchen lead preferred) Strong leadership and communication skills Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask Positive attitude and ability to keep a calm demeanor under pressure Flexible availability, this position is mainly evening shifts which include weekends.
