Key Qualifications:

• Active PA certification/licensure, including reading specialist certification
• Demonstrated excellence in subject matter expertise, instructional strategies, and use of resource materials
• Prior school-based experience, with a strong background managing classrooms and student behavior
• Experience working successfully in urban school settings
• Commitment to completing all required PA clearances
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite
• Ability to create engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans using formative assessment and differentiation
• High level of comfort with the district and willingness to immerse yourself in the local community
• Availability for a Zoom interview as part of the application process

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted reading interventions and small-group instruction to elementary and K-8 students
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district standards
• Assess student progress using formative assessments, and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with educators and staff to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to student progress reviews

This full-time assignment comprises 35 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 10, 2027.
