Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Neurology Clinic position requiring BLS and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Outpatient neurology clinic setting treating patients with TBI, stroke, CVA, substance abuse, and other neurological conditions
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Floating within scope and skillset required as needed to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation, in-box management, and work queues

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required in hand at submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with telephone triage, specimen collection, venipuncture, and medication reconciliation preferred

Additional Information

• Manage patient phone calls and MyChart messages, including triage and response
• Process medication refill requests and route for provider approval
• Coordinate lab and imaging orders and results, including abstracting genetic testing results
• Support high-acuity neurology patients, including infusion-related coordination
• Transcribe voicemail messages and process inbound clinical faxes requiring provider review
• Ensure accurate, timely clinical documentation and continuity of care across assigned providers
• May float between sister facilities within the health system as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility for travel eligibility
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• Must be willing to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront during the application process
