Operating Room Nursing - RN Circulator/Pre-Op/PACU

Job Title: OR Location: Carlton, Colorado Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5 Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension Pay Rate: $77 - $83/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an OR for a temporary assignment in Carlton, Colorado. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OR:

Provide direct patient care within all three areas of surgical services: Pre-op, OR/Circulator, and PACU Function as a primary care giver with the ability to work independently in all three surgical service areas Conduct patient assessments and document care accordingly Provide emotional support to patients and their families Coordinate patient transfers as needed Recover patients in the PACU following surgical procedures Circulate surgical cases including General, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology (cataract surgery), and Orthopedic surgeries Assist with processing instruments and equipment in central sterilizing Prepare patients for surgery in the pre-operative area Assist other staff members and provide patient education Apply knowledge of and interest in technical procedures and patient care Adhere to principles of infection control and general department policies Follow national standards through IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN Work a 40-hour work week including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Participate in rotational surgical call averaging 1 to 2 days per week and every other or every third weekend Perform effectively in highly stressful situations and interact with a wide variety of people Maintain current Colorado RN licensure and required certifications including ACLS
