Quality Manager

Quality ManagerMortenson is currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager (a shared Quality Manager for Phoenix, Denver, and Salt Lake City) with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Aptitude to anticipate problems, critical issues, and opportunities as they arise; along with the capability to creatively problem-solve and bring together viable solutions. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are vital, with attention to detail equally important. The Quality Manager will lead, manage, document, monitor, and analyze the quality system on medium to large projects. Also, ensure necessary corrective and preventative actions are taken.ResponsibilitiesLead Mortenson's quality system on medium to large projectsImplement Quality Management Plan from start to final acceptanceEstablish and lead quality control initiatives and corrective actionsReview project plans for quality requirementsManage Quality Events, punch list, and Non-Conformance NoticesResolve issues with/without guidance from Project Manager or SuperintendentOversee third-party design and testing agenciesManage subcontracts and suppliers, including quality program reviewsCoach and mentor Field and Project Engineers, manage career developmentQualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent fieldMinimum three years' experience in the design, engineering, or construction industry with experience leading a project's quality systemStrong attention to detail to organize and manage multiple project tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesProficient in Microsoft Excel and Primavera UnifierProven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsKnowledge of one or more quality systems: i.e., Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, Mortenson's Quality System, continuous improvement, value streams, etc.Experience with issue management, and inspection of work put in placeCompleted training in basic project management and supervisionCurrent driver's licenseWillingness to travel more than 50% (time split between Phoenix, Denver, and Salt Lake City)A few benefits offered include:Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $100,100 MIN - $150,200 MAXX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
