Success in this role will be dependent on your ability to navigate a large matric organization, influence leadership in order to affect change, and be able to clearly articulate business issues and recommended solutions. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST or EST time zone. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.Primary Responsibilities:Work with multiple business unit executives to determine correct solution, resources needed and contractual terms for dealsLeading financial response to RFPs to ensure minimal risk and maximum benefit for OptumAnalyze complex deals, develop pricing recommendations, and drive critical approval process with finance executives to meet tight deadlinesUnderstand business goals and objectives to help advise executives on appropriate solutionMaintain knowledge of market trends, competitors, and industry changes to help drive solution strategyUnderstand cost structure across multiple business units in order to incorporate into a single Optum viewUtilize cost structure knowledge to create and maintain complex financial models and communicate results to executivesLead ad-hoc projects as neededYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, OR related field3+ years of progressive professional experience in Finance and / OR Accounting3+ years of experience in analyzing and responding to RFP'sFinancial modeling and analysis experienceIntermediate level of experience with Microsoft ExcelExperience with presenting to executivesThis position is full time, Monday - Friday.
