Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianRyan Companies is hiring a Maintenance Technician to execute preventive maintenance; general repairs; adjustments to building systems, equipment, and fixtures as required. This role serves a downtown Cedar Rapids commercial property. Participation in an on-call rotation is a requirement of this position.What You Will Do:Perform preventive maintenance duties on building equipment and systems as scheduledManage and/or assist subcontractors with preventive maintenance, repairs and projects occurring on building systems, equipment, or propertyRespond to, evaluate, and complete tenant service work orders in a timely and professional mannerWork with the property manager and chief engineer to ensure proper services are provided to the building(s), and to assist with project planning and tenant improvement coordinationMaintain mechanical rooms, utility rooms and vacant areas in a neat and clean condition daily.Monitor energy system equipment, adjust set-points as needed, and record actions and time associated dailyEnsure Fire/Life/Safety equipment is performing as designedParticipate in on-call, after-hours, and weekend work when necessaryComplete all Ryan Companies required training and safety programsProvide exceptional customer service and exceed expectationsLead by example in alignment with the Ryan values with staff and co-workersPossess a proactive and collaborative, solution-oriented approachIs self-motivated and works well in a team environment.
