  Eleanor Nursing Care Center is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and compassionate Director of Dietary Services to lead our Food Service Department.   What You'll Do

  As the Director of Dietary Services, you will:

  • Lead and oversee all daily operations of the Dietary Department.

  • Ensure meals are prepared and served in accordance with facility menus and all federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Maintain high standards of food quality, sanitation, customer service, and resident satisfaction.

  • Recruit, train, coach, and mentor dietary staff while promoting teamwork and accountability.

  • Monitor inventory, food safety practices, and department budgets.

  • Conduct routine kitchen rounds to ensure quality, cleanliness, and compliance.

  • Plan and conduct staff in-services and ongoing education.

  • Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary departments to meet residents' dietary needs.

  • Step in to assist as a cook, dietary aide, or dishwasher when needed due to staffing shortages or call-outs.

  What We're Looking For

  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented leadership style.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Specialized training in Food Service Management and Nutrition preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service, quantity food production, dietary management, and staff supervision.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  • Basic computer proficiency with experience maintaining records and completing required reports.

  • Reliable attendance and ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.

  Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

  • Comfortable working around food preparation equipment and cleaning products.
