Accounting Supervisor

DescriptionKforce's client, a growing organization in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, support financial reporting, and lead a team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with accounting standards, improving processes, and delivering timely financial information to support business decisions. This is a hybrid position in the Saint Louis, MO area.Key Responsibilities:* Supervise and mentor accounting staff, assigning work and managing daily workflow* Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP* Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes* Develop, implement, and improve accounting procedures, controls, and reporting processes* Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance the accuracy of financial data* Partner with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and support business initiatives* Research complex accounting matters and provide recommendations to management* Assist with financial reporting, audits, and special projects as neededRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience* Previous experience leading or supervising accounting staff* Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices* Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools* CPA designation preferred* Experience in inventory and/or manufacturing environments preferredJob TypeDirect HireCompensation100000 - $100000
