You can help achieve this goal if you can:GeneralApply knowledge of technology procurement and contract management to support efficient and compliant purchasing processes.Coordinate procurement activities for the Information Services Division across software, hardware, telecom, and professional services.Ensure adherence to procurement policies, standards, and procedures.Identify and implement incremental improvements to procurement processes and documentation.Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners.Vendor Management (Sourcing, Procurement, Negotiation, Management)Support and, when appropriate, lead sourcing efforts and contract negotiations for technology purchases.Engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to evaluate sourcing options and recommend vendors based on cost, quality, and service.Manage vendor relationships, including issue resolution, performance tracking, and contract lifecycle activities (renewals, amendments).Assist in drafting and revising contract terms in coordination with internal subject matter experts.Handle multiple sourcing and procurement efforts while prioritizing to meet business needs.Advisory & Analytical SupportProvide guidance to internal clients on procurement processes, vendor engagement, and contract considerations.Support leadership by preparing analysis and recommendations related to vendor selection, cost savings, and contract structures.Contribute to process improvements, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency initiatives.Financial Support financial analysis, including spend tracking and cost-saving opportunities.Ensure purchases align with approved budgets and procurement processes.Legal & ComplianceReview contracts for alignment with company policies and escalates non-standard terms as needed.Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Security, and other stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are met.Assist in resolving contract-related issues and provides interpretation of contractual terms.This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:High School Diploma or GED.8+ years of relevant technology procurement experience required.Able and willing to work onsite and in-person at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio, TX.Preferred Requirements:Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or foreign equivalent degree - related field preferred.Technology Procurement certification preferred.Benefits:Need more reasons to work for a company that is both professionally challenging and culturally rewarding?
