Digital Public Affairs Communications Specialist
$80k - $110kTSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a Digital Public Affairs Communications Specialist to support strategic campaigns for corporate, nonprofit, and association clients. In this role, you'll help research policy issues, track media and political developments, and create digital content that advances advocacy and reputation goals. You'll collaborate closely with senior strategists in a fast-paced, boutique environment, contributing to client briefs, campaign reporting, and day-to-day project execution while gaining hands-on exposure to high-impact public affairs and issue campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Support development and execution of digital public affairs and advocacy campaigns for corporate and nonprofit clients
- Conduct policy, stakeholder, and media research to inform communications strategies
- Draft and edit content for websites, social media, email, and other digital channels
- Monitor news, legislative developments, and online conversations to identify risks and opportunities
- Assist with analytics, reporting, and optimization of campaign performance
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure on-time delivery of client work
- Prepare presentations, briefs, and client-ready materials for senior leaders
- Manage project tasks, timelines, and documentation with strong attention to detail
