Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, you'll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Your role as an Intern in the Global Operations Business Unit, within our Corporate Procurement team that will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:

• Manage stakeholder relationships, through procurement expertise, responsiveness and business understanding (General Global Market / Industry and TE Internal requirements).
• Manage the execution of the strategy utilizing Procurement expertise in negotiation, RFI/RFQ support and/or processing, contract development, supplier management and other core procurement skills.
• Utilize all tools and strategies within and alongside the Corporate Procurement commodities and sub-commodity groupings to drive significant savings, meeting individual, regional and global TE savings goals.
• Help continuously improve overall service to all TE internal customers

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on suppliers, markets, and industry trends to support sourcing strategies.
• Analyze data and help prepare reports that identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
• Support supplier bidding and quotation activities by collecting and organizing information.
• Work with cross-functional teams on procurement projects while learning strategic sourcing and supply chain best practices.

You're the kind of person we are looking for if you:

• Have earned a high school diploma or GED
• Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS Degree in Business Administration , Supply Chain or Business Analytics or Engineering from an accredited college or university-or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
• Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project
• Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20.91 - 45.04/hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

What TE Connectivity Internship Program offers

TE has a robust internship program that provides our interns with an abundance of resources to feel included as part of our Team. Every summer we coordinate various educational and networking events for our interns. The TE University Relations team will be hosting virtual meetups, information sessions, tours, skill building presentations, and topping it off with National Intern Day celebration activities.

Mentors serve as a guide to navigate the organization and provide additional support in their career endeavors at the company. Our program provides a holistic experience for interns that targets professional development and personal growth.

Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10-12-week program, interns will be provided with:

• Networking Opportunities
• Operations Experience
• Executive Exposure

Timeline

TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
