Location 2400 Unser Blvd, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 Position Summary Serves as a general GI staff physician in Gastroenterology. Employment Type Full Time (FTE: 1.00) Practice Highlights General Gastroenterologists Advanced Endoscopy Gastroenterologists Gastroenterology Hospitalist Advanced Practice Clinicians Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM. 2-3 GI lab shifts per week (average 12-15 patients/day). 1½ day clinic visits per week. Low call expectation; 3 calls/month. Responsibilities Deliver clinical care to patients in clinic, inpatient and lab settings. Participate in night call rotation with the general GI group. Supervise care delivered by APCs in the practice. Gather and report quality measures. Receive and resolve patient, staff, and provider complaints. Participate in quality improvement plans. Work with leadership on financial, clinical, and service quality performance. Participate in recruitment and retention of physicians and staff. Take corrective action as authorized. Determine and execute care plans for patients. Teach, train, and oversee APCs in patient care. Perform other functions as required. Qualifications M.D./D.O. in clinical practice.
