Position Overview The Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Specialist provides community and home‑based housing support services to individuals and families who have experienced homelessness. Services are focused on supporting the individual and/or family to stabilize their housing, end their experience with homelessness, and improve health and recovery. Duties include creating individualized housing plans, assisting with the housing application process, addressing barriers, developing relationships with partners and property managers, and supporting clients in maintaining housing and preventing eviction. The PSH Specialist works independently and collaboratively with multiple NARA NW teams. What you will do Develop a client‑centered individualized housing stability plan. Assist participants through the housing process, addressing barriers and accessing funding for move‑in costs and furnishings. Work closely with other providers to coordinate ongoing support services. Provide home and community engagement services using strengths‑based case management, Motivational Interviewing, and Housing First philosophies. Build positive relationships with collaborative partners, external service providers, and property managers. Respond to property managers’ concerns to support participants in maintaining housing and preventing eviction. Qualifications Degree in a social‑service related field, QMHA, CADC, CRM, or PSS credential (or equivalent); if not credentialed, must obtain QMHA/CADC/CRM or PSS within 6 months of hire. Knowledge of housing resources and programs. Understanding of recovery‑based, holistic approaches to behavioral health. Skill in working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. Ability to engage and interact positively with individuals and families to promote strengths and improve health and well‑being. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance. Pass pre‑employment drug test and criminal background/DMV checks.
